The Orrest Head Walk

Our properties are located at the foot of one of the Lake District’s most famous short walks, Orrest Head.

It was a walk that changed Alfred Wainwright’s life (The famous Lakeland author).

On the way up Orrest Head (from the Windermere Hotel side) you’ll find great coffee served from a converted horsebox located to the rear of Steve Hicks Blacksmith. It’s a great stop under local ownership. Your upport would be greatly appreciated.
